Do The Best You Can

Abstract: I wrote a 8-10 chapter book called: “Do The Best You Can.” Why I wrote this book is because I always wanted to write a book, this book will be a nonfiction book the story about my college life, about my struggles through the hard classes I took, and how I survived them with some help with tutors, council, and professor. My friends said I was Autistic, but I was trying to prove them wrong that I wasn’t Autistic. In the book I’m telling the story about what was happening to me in college, and what was I trying to do in college, and what was my struggles in college. I start the story off with my first three years at Snow College, why I wanted to started with school, what was I majoring in first and why did I change my major. Then l continued with SUU, and what was my second major and what are my struggles at SUU. I heard a couple of people wrote books for their EDGE project.

Goals: For My EDGE Project I wrote a book called “Do the Best You Can” this is a nonfiction stories about my years in colleges. I wanted to write this book to understand my basic learning through my years of college, and why did I continue with my education and where was it gonna take me.

I achieved this goal by working on it at the start of the summer, and ended at the end of June. I got my sister and a couple of friends to help proofread and edit it for me. I was thinking about how I was going to write this book with some ideas that came into my head while I was typing it. I started typing it after my second EDGE class I took last summer. I wanted to work on it over the summer so I wouldn’t worry about during school, and I could focus on my classes.

I went to the writing lab or went to a friend who an English Major, to help proofread it. I also proofread it myself and found some mistake that I needed to fix so that it would make sense.

Deliverable: I turned in my book as a hard copy at the end of the semester. The book is 10 chapters long, I worked on it 3-5 hours a day and it took me 15 days to finish it.
